The Association was birthed out of the desire of past pupils to contribute meaningfully and philanthropically to St. Joseph’s Convent San Fernando (The School) so that the current students are provided with an unparalleled opportunity to be successful in their studies and other extra-curricular activities which aid in their development. The Association was established with a purpose to:
A major goal of the PPA is to support our little sisters who are currently studying at Our Alma Mater. Apart from the Benevolent Fund, the funds raised are with the Sole purpose to ensuring they are in a safe and healthy environment, with the best Access to learning tools and technologies. Our aim is not only to attend to their physical and academic needs but also to lend Support where needed to tend to their mental health and emotional well being, Hence the formation of a Mentoring and Coaching Committee.
This Committee has commenced work with the Forms 4-6, delivering the John
Maxwell IChoose Youth Leadership Program. Other initiatives comprise the provision of Career Mentors, Mentoring, Personal Branding and Enhancement, The Professional You, Financial Literacy and Budgeting.
